A 64-year-old Palmdale man was pistol-whipped, beaten and robbed by masked men at his apartment Monday night in an incident authorities believe was a set-up involving two women who the victim invited to his home.

Two teenage boys were later arrested in connection with the robbery, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said.

The victim met one of the women at a store in the afternoon and later took her and a friend to his apartment in the 1200 block of East Avenue S, Sheriff’s Deputy David Miklos said.

About 11:40 p.m. while the man and his guests were watching TV, three men in ski masks entered the apartment, pistol-whipped the victim and bound his arms and legs, Miklos said.

The victim was treated for a scalp laceration at Antelope Valley Hospital, a hospital spokesman said.

The robbers took jewelry, a computer and other items, as well as the victim’s 1998 Lincoln Town Car, Miklos said.

Shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday, deputies spotted the stolen car, said Sgt. Ken Wright. As they pursued it, the vehicle crashed into a wall near Avenue R and 20th Street, he said. Deputies arrested two teenage boys in the car.

Deputies are still seeking a man and two women in the incident. One woman is 5 feet, 4 inches tall, about 120 pounds, black with a dark complexion. The other woman, also black, is 5 feet, 2 inches tall, 90 pounds, with a light complexion and a ring in her right nostril. No description of the man was given.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Palmdale sheriff’s station at (661) 267-4300.
