Louisville basketball recruit Muhammed Lasege won a court ruling in Louisville, Ky., Wednesday ordering the NCAA to restore his eligibility. Jefferson Circuit Judge Geoffrey Morris ruled the NCAA was wrong to ban the 6-foot-11 Nigerian from playing college basketball because he signed a professional contract in Russia. . . . North Carolina State forward Damon Thornton was reinstated to the team after his suspension on alcohol-related charges stemming from an October car accident in which he was arrested for allegedly driving while impaired near the Raleigh, N.C., campus.
