LAGUNA NIGUEL
As chairwoman of the Citizen of the Year Committee, Elaine Gennawey has her eye out for a resident who goes beyond the call of duty and influences the city in a positive manner. The Citizen of the Year Committee members review every nomination form and are always touched by how much people get involved, Gennawey said.
“It makes you feel so good to know people do such good things that make a difference. Many people give their time unselfishly to the community,” Gennawey said.
Residents and organizations can nominate people. Nomination forms are available at City Hall, 27801 La Paz Road and at the library, 30341 Crown Valley Parkway. Deadline is March 24.
