Man Accused of Secretly Videotaping Renters
Prosecutors filed 22 criminal charges Wednesday alleging that a Glendora man secretly videotaped a woman and her children in the room she rented in his trailer.
Ralph Leigh Wade, 46, is charged with misdemeanor counts of invasion of privacy, child annoying and maintaining a two-way mirror. He is also charged with one felony count each of residential burglary and manufacturing child pornography.
Wade used the two-way mirror to videotape the woman, her 10-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter in the bedroom and the bathroom, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Christina Weiss. He also videotaped himself on the woman’s bed when she was not home, and took undergarments from her room, Weiss said.
The victim became suspicious when she could hear the floor creak on the other side of the wall every time she used the mirror. She later found several peepholes, Weiss said.
Wade was arrested Monday by Glendora police and is being held in lieu of $200,000 bail.
