Bure Scores Again as Panthers Win
Pavel Bure keeps scoring, and the Florida Panthers keep on winning at Boston.
The Panthers, the only team in the NHL with a winning record all-time at Boston, got a goal from Bure and two goals and an assist Mark Parrish as they defeated the Bruins, 5-1, at Boston on Saturday night.
Bure’s goal, his league-leading 39th, sealed the victory in the third to improve Florida’s record to 6-4-3 at Boston.
“It is nice to keep scoring,” Bure said. “What makes us a good team is that we have so many different guys that step up each game.”
Mikhail Shtalenkov made 24 saves as the Panthers ended a four-game road winless streak.
The Bruins are 2-7-5 in their last 14 at home, haven’t won consecutive home games since November and have only one victory in their last six games.
Montreal 5, Ottawa 4--Turner Stevenson’s goal midway through the third period at Montreal lifted the Canadiens past the Senators for the first time in four meetings this season.

Chicago 4, Atlanta 3--Jocelyn Thibault made 38 saves and Kevin Dean banged in a second-chance rebound with nine seconds left in the second period for the game-winner at Atlanta as the Blackhawks extended the Thrashers’ winless streak to 13.
Carolina 5, Tampa Bay 2--The Hurricanes scored three goals on five shots in the second period, one deflecting off the goalie’s stick, one deflecting off a skate and the other coming off a shot from the neutral zone, to take control of the game and defeat the Lightning at Tampa, Fla.
Carolina center Rod Brind’Amour left the game in the second period because of a hip injury.
Philadelphia 3, Buffalo 2--John LeClair’s goal with 2:32 left in overtime at Philadelphia gave the Flyers only their third victory in 12 games, despite outshooting the opposition in each game. They outshot the Sabres, 42-23.
Philadelphia’s Keith Primeau, who went to the Flyers as part of a trade involving Brind’Amour on Jan. 23, cracked a rib against Buffalo, but it wasn’t clear if he will sit out any games.
