4 Killed, 1 Hurt in Bar Shooting; Suspect Arrested

Four people were shot to death and one man was wounded early Sunday after an argument at a nightclub, authorities said.

Arturo Sanchez, 26, of Perris, was arrested for investigation of murder, Riverside County sheriff’s deputies said in a news release.

A motive for the shooting was not immediately determined, deputies said. Officers patrolling the area heard gunshots just before 1 a.m. Sunday and saw Sanchez running from El Dandy Restaurant and Night Club. He apparently tried to get rid of the gun but deputies found it, authorities said.

One of the victims was identified as Patricia Flores, 35, of Rialto. The names of the others were not released. The wounded man was brought to County Regional Medical Center, but his wounds were not considered life-threatening.

One of the victims was found in the parking lot and three others were in the nightclub.

Witnesses told deputies that four people in the restaurant were arguing when two people began firing. It was not clear what prompted the argument. A second gun was not recovered.
