A Hollywood man was arrested after allegedly running down a woman early Tuesday morning and leading police on a chase that slightly injured four officers, authorities said.

Arutyun Kechechyan, 37, was booked on suspicion of attempted murder and violation of a restraining order, said Joe Buscaino, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.

The injured woman, a relative of Kechechyan’s estranged wife, was in stable condition at an area hospital, Buscaino said. The four officers were treated and released.

After the incident at the woman’s Van Nuys home, Kechechyan’s car was disabled and he allegedly fled in his wife’s car, police said. Officers found him at his Hollywood home about 2:15 a.m., still in his wife’s car, Buscaino said.

Kechechyan sped off, leading police on a short chase, but he was forced to stop at Woodley Avenue and Sherman Way after the car lost a tire, Buscaino said.

The officers were injured when Kechechyan allegedly resisted arrest, Buscaino said.
