The victim, a Latino about 20 years old, was not carrying identification, and authorities had not determined his name as of late Tuesday.
The man was crossing the 4800 block of West 1st Street about 8 p.m. when he was struck. He went over the car’s hood, hit the windshield and was thrown off the car, Sgt. Raul Luna said. A street light was near the spot where he was hit, Luna said.
