Disputes over the availability of playing fields helped push the city into setting up a special Sports Advisory Committee to handle such matters.
During the next two months, Parks and Recreation Director Steve Pischel will work to form the the committee, which will include representatives from the city and from all local sports organizations.
“It’s an excellent idea,” said Ken Hayes, president of the Placentia Little League. “Why didn’t they do that years ago?”
