Laguna Beach city workers discovered what they thought was a hand grenade in a small creek Wednesday morning. However, police officers later determined it was a plastic toy, said Sgt. Jason Kravetz.
The workers were near Bolsa Way and Cupren Street when they saw the object near the unnamed creek. “We decided to call the police and let them handle it,” said Lloy Thompson, senior sewer service supervisor.
