The suspects in Wednesday’s takeover robbery of a Wells Fargo Bank in Thousand Oaks have been identified as Marcus Christopher Timmons, 26; Edward B. Johnson, 30; and Charley Saturmin Robinet, 24.

All three are from Los Angeles, police said.

The suspects are in custody at Ventura County Jail, each held on a single count of armed bank robbery. They are expected to be arraigned before a U.S. magistrate in Santa Barbara today.

Authorities are still investigating whether the three suspects may be responsible for the Feb. 11 takeover robbery of a Thousand Oaks Bank of America.

The two robberies are the first takeover-style attacks in Ventura County since 39-year-old teller Monica Lynne Leech was fatally shot in the head during an April 1997 robbery at Western Financial Bank in Thousand Oaks.

During Wednesday’s robbery, two men stormed into the Wells Fargo Bank, pistol-whipped a teller and fled with thousands of dollars before leading police on a high-speed chase up the Ventura Freeway. Police arrested the suspects, including a third man who allegedly drove the getaway car, in Ventura.
