Less Than $100 Taken in Circle K Robbery

A woman wearing a pink sweater and possibly planning to buy a carton of milk instead robbed a Circle K of less than $100, police said Tuesday.

The theft occurred Monday afternoon in the 11000 block of Citrus Drive near Wells Road, Ventura Police Lt. Bill Bogner said.

No one was injured. The only other person in the store besides the robber and a clerk was a customer using a restroom in the back, Bogner said.

The robber, who was not armed, took the milk to the counter and told a female cashier that she wanted all the money in the register. The robber then fled in a small blue sedan parked at a nearby bank, Bogner said.

Bogner didn’t know whether the robber grabbed the milk on her way out.

A surveillance camera in the store was on during the robbery, and detectives plan to review the tape.

The suspect was described as white, 45 to 50, and about 5 feet 7. She has brown eyes and brown hair.

This is the second Circle K to be robbed in Ventura in the past month, but the cases are not related, police said.

The other robbery occurred in the 3500 block of East Main Street. One man has been jailed in that case, and a second man is being sought.
