Cook Chosen OCTA Board Chairwoman
Councilwoman Laurann Cook has been appointed to chair the Orange County Transportation Authority board of directors. The one-year term is effective immediately. Cook has been a member of the board for five years.
Some of the projects the transit authority will be involved in this year include the completion of the Santa Ana Freeway work near the Artesia and Riverside freeways, the proposed light-rail project from Fullerton to Irvine, and a possible toll road extending the Orange Freeway to the San Diego Freeway.
