Medical Group Reverts to Physician Ownership
Lombard Medical Group in Thousand Oaks, which has been operated by a series of insurance companies in the last four years, is reverting back to a physician-owned practice and has changed its name to Arroyo Oaks Medical Associates.
The group, in the Oak Tree Medical Building at 2230 Lynn Road, began as a physician-owned practice 35 years ago and remained such until it was sold to Aetna Insurance four years ago. It later was sold to MedPartners and then to Allied Health.

Doctor group--The name of one of the doctors at Arroyo Oaks Medical Associates was omitted in a Jan. 18 article. He is Franklin Weil.
The practice is a primary-care medical group and includes internal medicine, family practice, obstetrics and gynecology and infertility care.
The doctors at the practice are Manoj Aswani, Marilyn Becker, Ronald E. de la Pena, Brian Gee, Russell Hines and Anthony Scardino. Scheduled to join the practice Feb. 1 are family practice physicians Barry Lefkovitch and Daniel Tavari.
