SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
Gus De La Torre of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department has been promoted from sergeant to captain.
De La Torre, a 27-year veteran of law enforcement, heads the Dana Point and the San Juan Capistrano sheriff’s stations.
Lt. Paul Ratchford of Dana Point Police Services said De La Torre’s guidance in successful anti-drug programs in Dana Point was one of the main reasons De La Torre was promoted.
