THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Tuesday:

BREA

* Brea Mall: A petty theft was reported at 2:25 p.m. Sunday.

* Brea Mall: A petty theft was reported at 3:02 p.m. Saturday.

* North Hazelwood Place: A grand theft was reported in the 1300 block at 1:15 p.m. Saturday.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Brookhurst Street: A woman was arrested for possession of marijuana for sale in the 16400 block at 1:07 a.m. Friday.

* San Bruno Street: Someone stole a briefcase from a car in the 17000 block at 8:20 a.m. Friday.

* Slater Avenue: Someone smashed the windows of a car with a tire iron and scratched gang-type monikers into the paint of a car in the 10400 block at 11:45 p.m. Friday.

FULLERTON

* South Brookhurst Road: A petty theft was reported in the 300 block at 7:07 p.m. Monday.

* South Brookhurst Road: An auto theft was reported in the 500 block at 5:42 p.m. Monday.

* West Commonwealth Avenue: A petty theft was reported in the 300 block at 2:27 p.m. Monday.

IRVINE

* Alton Parkway at Culver Drive: A noninjury traffic accident was reported at 12:59 p.m. Monday.

* Alton Parkway at Irvine Boulevard: Tools were reported stolen from a dump truck at 7:48 a.m. Monday at the Hernandez Pipeline construction site.

* Armstrong and McGaw avenues: Someone was cited for possession of marijuana at 2:45 a.m. Monday.

* Barranca Parkway at Irvine Center Drive: A suspect was reportedly caught with stolen emblems from Hondas and Acuras at 1:58 p.m. Monday.

LA HABRA

* North Bedford Street: A suspicious subject was reported in the 400 block at 1:45 a.m. Sunday.

* West Imperial Highway: A petty theft was reported in the 1800 block at 9:05 p.m. Saturday.

* West Imperial Highway: A petty theft was reported in the 1800 block at 7:43 p.m. Saturday.

ORANGE

* City Drive South: A suspicious person was reported in the 500 block at 12:08 a.m. Tuesday.

* Katella Avenue: A burglary alarm was triggered in the 1900 block at 4:45 p.m. Monday.

PLACENTIA

* Beal Avenue: Graffiti was reported in the 200 block at 9:52 a.m. Sunday.

* West Crowther Avenue: A grand theft was reported in the 500 block at 10:59 a.m. Saturday.

SANTA ANA

* South Main Street: A Santa Ana man was arrested on suspicion of embezzling $5,310 from his employer in the 2400 block at 2 p.m. Friday.

TUSTIN

* Newport Avenue: A burglary alarm was triggered in the 12000 block at 11:05 a.m. Tuesday.

VILLA PARK

* Santiago Boulevard: Reckless driving in the 9000 block was reported at 6:59 p.m. Saturday.

YORBA LINDA

* Bastanchury Road at Imperial Highway: A petty theft was reported at 12:32 p.m. Monday.

* Copper Canyon Road: A grand theft was reported in the 5400 block at 1:40 a.m. Monday.

* Lemon Drive: A petty theft was reported in the 18000 block at 8:50 a.m. Sunday.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports Tuesday: Anaheim, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Newport Beach, Seal Beach and Westminster.
