Boise State 53, UC Irvine 52--C.J. Williams deflected an Anteater attempt to inbound the ball under their basket as time ran out to preserve the victory for the Broncos (7-8, 1-3 in the Big West Conference) at Irvine.

Jerry Green, who had 24 points, made a 17-foot jump shot to pull Irvine (8-6, 1-3) within 53-52 with 49 seconds left. The Anteaters’ Sean Jackson recovered a loose ball and called timeout with 14.2 seconds left. Boise State denied Green a path to the basket while Irvine was trying to inbound the ball, and Adam Stetson’s pass to Marek Ondera underneath the basket was knocked away by Williams.

Irvine shot 61% to take a 33-19 halftime lead but was outscored 18-3 to start the second half.

Pepperdine 76, San Francisco 70--The Waves (14-5, 4-0) shot 58% and had six players score in double figures at San Francisco.

Brandon Armstrong had 13 points for Pepperdine, and Nick Sheppard, Tezale Archie and Craig Lewis each had 12.

San Francisco (13-4, 1-3) made 11 of 16 three-point attempts, with Ali Thomas scoring all of this 15 points on shots from behind the arc.

Santa Clara 79, Loyola Marymount 75--Nathan Fast scored 10 of his 17 points in the final 3:36, including a three-point basket that put the Broncos (11-8, 2-2 in the West Coast Conference) ahead for good at Santa Clara.

Loyola Marymount (2-15, 0-4) was led by reserves Curtis Slaughter and Stanley Thorne, who each had 21 points. The Lions have lost 14 consecutive road games.
