5 Wounded in Drive-By Shooting
Five people were wounded by gunfire Sunday night in a drive-by shooting in the Crenshaw area, Los Angeles police said.
The victims, struck by bullets believed fired from an assault rife about 9:20 p.m., were not identified. None of the wounds appeared to be life-threatening, said Los Angeles Police Sgt. William Dougherty of the Southwest Division.
The shooting happened in the 4600 block of Coliseum Street. The victims were standing in the courtyard of an apartment complex, according to an early report. The vehicle used in the shooting was believed to be a van.
The victims were taken to area hospitals.
