Three teenagers have been arrested in an Oxnard park holdup, while a masked man who robbed a Ventura liquor store remained at large Saturday, authorities said.

The teens, ages 15, 16 and 17, were allegedly stealing a bicycle about 5:30 p.m. Friday near the tennis courts at Sierra Linda Park on Indigo Place, when they were confronted by the owner, police said. One of the teens pulled a gun, and the three left with the bicycle.

Oxnard Police Sgt. Scott Hebert saw three young men matching the teens’ descriptions several blocks away at Orchard Park, police said. They were apprehended, and a 9-millimeter handgun was found.

The victim and witnesses later identified the boys, whose names were not released because they are juveniles, police said. The teens were detained in Juvenile Hall on suspicion of armed robbery.

In the second robbery, a man wearing a ski mask and dark clothing, and carrying a sawed-off shotgun entered Avenue Liquor at 580 N. Ventura Ave. at 10:40 p.m. Friday. He pointed the shotgun at the store clerk and demanded money, police said.

The clerk, who was not injured, handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. The gunman was seen leaving in a dark-colored pickup truck.
