Lancaster Win Streak Reaches Nine
Jeff Heaverlo struck out eight, walked two and surrendered two runs in eight innings, and Lancaster won its ninth consecutive game, defeating High Desert, 6-3, in front of 4,308 at The Hangar in Lancaster.
Matt Williams, who is on a rehabilitation assignment from the Arizona Diamondbacks, had three hits, including a home run for the Mavericks.
Terrmel Sledge had three singles and drove in three runs for Lancaster (14-3).
