Councilwoman Lynn Daucher said Tuesday she still doesn’t know when she will resign from her post and start preparing for her presumptive role as north Orange County’s newest representative in the Assembly.
Daucher, a Republican, faces Democratic challenger Gangadharappa Nanjundappa in a runoff election in November. According to vote counts from the March primary election, Daucher has a huge lead over the sociology professor from Cal State Fullerton.
The filing period for City Council candidates starts July 17 and ends Aug. 11.
