SAN CLEMENTE
The City Council has approved the calendar for this November’s municipal election. The terms of council members Jim Dahl and Lois R. Berg, City Treasurer Paul Gudgiersson and City Clerk Myrna Erway expire this year.
The candidate filing period will run from Monday to Aug. 11, with a five-day extension to Aug. 16 granted for new candidates should an incumbent choose not to run.
The calendar also sets Aug. 4 as the final date for adding an initiative to the ballot.
The local election will be held in conjunction with the general election Nov. 7.
Prospective candidates can pick up the nomination papers at the city clerk’s office at City Hall at 100 Avenida Presidio, starting Monday.
