Share

The West Valley Municipal Building will reopen today after a nine-month renovation project that included seismic retrofitting and expansion of staff and public areas.

The center, at 19040 Vanowen St. in Reseda, houses several city branch offices.

Those offices include the Department of Building and Safety, city attorney, dispute mediation, Community Redevelopment Agency, Bureau of Street Services and Contract Administration, Department of Transportation, and the Los Angeles Police Department. A branch of the mayor’s small-business advisory department and Councilwoman Laura Chick’s field office are also in the building.

Built in 1957, the 13,000-square-foot structure will be rededicated at 11:30 a.m. today.

More details about the West Valley Municipal Building can be found at Chick’s council Web page (https://www.cityofla.org/COUNCIL/cd3/). Click to the “virtual constituent services center.”
