Sheriff’s Department Seeks Public’s Help in Locating 4 People

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public’s help in locating four people sought for allegedly violating probation or failing to appear in court. Arrest warrants have been issued in each case.

Brian Steven Echternach, 42, allegedly violated his probation on convictions for spousal battery, violating a restraining order, intimidating witnesses and making annoying or threatening phone calls.

Echternach last worked as a mason and lived in the area of Ann Street in Ventura. He is white, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 195 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes.

Raymond Ramirez Hernandez, 47, allegedly failed to appear in court on charges of transporting and possessing for sale a controlled substance.

Hernandez last lived in the 500 block of Cedar Street in Ventura. He is Latino, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 165 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.

Sally Ann Apodaca, 42, who also uses the last name Polo, allegedly failed to appear in court on charges of possessing and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Apodaca last worked as a caregiver and lived in the 500 block of Joyce Drive in Port Hueneme. She is white, 4 feet, 11 inches tall, 130 pounds, and has red hair, brown eyes and a heart tattoo on her right shoulder.

Thomas Bertheussen uses the last names Heussen and Willy, the first name Woody and the full names of Thomas Woody, Tod Andrews and Gary Edwards.

Bertheussen, 49, allegedly violated the terms of his probation on a conviction for theft. There are also warrants naming Bertheussen from Santa Barbara County and Washington state.

He is a self-employed music teacher and last lived in Oxnard. He is white, 6 feet, 200 pounds, and has blond hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information should call Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 385-TALK or 494-TALK. There is a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
