Fight at Party Leaves 1 Dead, 2nd Injured
One man was killed and another injured during a fight at a party in La Habra early Sunday, authorities said.
Police arrived at the home on Campbell Avenue about 12:45 a.m. and found several people fighting in a crowd of more than 100, said Lt. Wayne Lowry of the La Habra Police Department.
“When the officers got there, the [partygoers] began to leave rather quickly,” Lowry said.
Officers found Stephen Sanchez, 20, and Kenneth Sanchez, 19, on the front lawn of the home with stab wounds. The two men are not related.
Stephen Sanchez was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he later died. Kenneth Sanchez was taken to Whittier Community Hospital, where he was in stable condition Sunday afternoon, Lowry said.
No weapons were found at the scene, and no other injuries were reported, he said.
