Authorities Seek Public’s Help in Apprehending 4 Fugitives

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating four people being sought for allegedly violating probation or failing to appear in court. Arrest warrants have been issued in each case.

Paul Arthur Woellert, 36, who also uses the first and middle names Mark Ellis, allegedly failed to appear in court on charges of being under the influence and possessing a controlled substance.

He last lived in the 200 block of Carr Drive in Ventura. Woellert is white, 5 feet 10, 170 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes. He has the name “Amber” and a rose tattooed on his right forearm.

Ruben Ruelas Vasquez, 29, who also goes by Ruben Ruelas, allegedly violated the terms of his probation on a conviction for driving under the influence of alcohol and causing death or great bodily injury.

Vasquez last worked as a landscaper in Thousand Oaks and last lived in the 3200 block of Gloria Drive in Newbury Park. He is Latino, 5 feet 10, 185 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He has the name Ruelas tattooed on his left shoulder and Vasquez on his right shoulder.

Desiree Lynn Hernandez, 22, who also uses the last name Castillo, allegedly failed to appear in court on charges of possessing stolen property and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Hernandez last worked as a stripper and lived on West MacFarlane Drive in Ventura. She is Latino, 5 feet 9, 140 pounds and has brown hair and green eyes. She has a rose tattooed on her left ankle and a rose with a heart banner on her right breast.

Jason John Schreiber, 21, allegedly violated his probation on convictions for making terrorist threats and burglary. He worked for a Ventura tree-trimming business and lived in the 200 block of Homer Street in Ventura.

Schreiber is white, 6 foot 3, 160 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. The letters “CV” are tattooed on his left arm.

Anyone with information is asked to call Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 385-8255 or 494-8255. There is a cash reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
