A 25-year-old man was arrested Thursday after a three-hour standoff with Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies, authorities said.

Deputies responded to a possible domestic violence incident in the 11500 block of 207th Street shortly before 6 a.m. They found Christopher Corrales locked in his apartment with his two children, 4 and 6, said Lt. John Galbraith.

Corrales’ wife, 26, told police her husband might be armed, deputies said.

Police tried for more than an hour to make contact with Corrales, whom they described as uncooperative. They finally talked to him about 7:30 a.m., Galbraith said.

Corrales agreed to release his two children and turned himself in about 8:45 a.m, Galbraith said.

No one was hurt and no evidence of a weapon was found when police searched the apartment, deputies said.
