Latino Talent Directory: OnLine Production Services, an entertainment listing service for casting and talent agents, is launching a Latino talent directory. The database is the first of its kind, offering a comprehensive listing of all Latin performers and other industry professions, from writers to technicians. The service, called the Latin Heat directory, combines the databases of OnLine and Latin Heat magazine, a monthly trade publication dedicated solely to Latin talent. “It’s one-stop shopping so that anyone looking for actors, directors, producers--anyone in creative or technical--can find what they need,” said Bonnie Abaunza, the head of business development for OnLine’s Los Angeles operation. “The need is there. I can’t tell you how many times I have had executives and talent agents call me and say they needed to find Latino writers or talent.” OnLine Production Services is a Canadian company that expanded its operation into the United States one year ago. The $4-million enterprise is used by more than 200 casting directors in Los Angeles and 925 talent agents in the United States and Canada.

RADIO

Imus Hospitalized: Radio host Don Imus was hospitalized with multiple injuries after being thrown from a horse at his ranch in New Mexico Sunday afternoon. Imus suffered five broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a broken collarbone and a shoulder separation after being thrown up to 10 feet off a horse, Charles McCord, a news anchor for “Imus in the Morning,” told listeners Monday. Imus, 59, was described “in stable condition, alert and resting comfortably,” McCord said. “He’s going to be out of commission for a little while,” McCord said. The New York-based syndicated radio show “Imus in the Morning,” which airs locally on KRLA-AM (1110) weekdays from 5 to 9 a.m., will broadcast a mix of live and taped shows this week, followed by two weeks of “The Best of Imus.” Imus is expected to return after a three-week hiatus, according to his publicist, Mark O’Connor.

‘Satellite’ Moves: “The Satellite Sisters,” a radio chat show featuring the five Dolan siblings, has a new time slot on KCRW-FM (89.9) just two weeks after its premiere. “Satellite Sisters,” syndicated by Public Radio International, premiered June 4 at 9 a.m. on KCRW. As of this past Sunday, the weekly series moved to a 7 a.m. start. According to KCRW general manager Ruth Seymour, the change was made because “the audience wanted ‘Weekend Edition Sunday’ from National Public Radio in its regular time slot [8-10 a.m.], which has been long established.”

ART

Getty Lawsuit: Nicholas Turner, a former Getty Museum curator of drawings, filed suit against the museum in L.A. Superior Court last Thursday, claiming his erstwhile employer had failed to fulfill a confidential settlement agreement to an earlier lawsuit. The National Law Journal reports Turner’s charge that the Getty had agreed to publish his catalog of the museum’s drawings collection, in which an appendix outlines his belief that unsigned sheets attributed to Raphael, Fra Bartolommeo and four other Old Masters are fakes, probably drawn by the well-known English forger Eric Hebborn, who died in 1996. The disputed works were acquired by Turner’s predecessor, George Goldner, now a curator at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. According to the National Law Journal story, Getty attorneys have cited the prospect of a defamation case by Goldner as the reason the museum has not published the catalog. A Getty spokesperson said the museum cannot comment on pending litigation.

Proceeds will benefit Walecki, owner of Westwood Music, a Los Angeles musical instrument dealer, who is suffering from throat cancer. Tickets will go on sale Saturday.

CBS Courts Walters: “20/20” anchor Barbara Walters, whose contract with ABC News is up in the fall, is being courted by CBS News. Both networks declined to comment, but Walters, in a statement, said: “I’m in the process of negotiating with ABC and am hopeful that things will work out. But it’s nice to know that you’re wanted and that there are alternatives.”
