Woods’ Monopoly

Share

* Tiger Woods’ runaway victory in the U.S. Open (June 19) is a clear indication that he has stifled the competition. His rivals are intimidated and are afraid to compete, and viewers are forced to watch Tiger week after week. His outright domination has made professional golf monolithic. Is it fair that his peers can only vie for second?

This juggernaut must be stopped, before he consumes the entire PGA tour. I humbly request that attorneys general from 28 states demand on behalf of PGA professionals that Tiger be split into two golfers. Let the right half of his body play from tee to green, let the left half putt and chip, and may Janet Reno relieve his coach and caddy. Tiger cannot be trusted to look after himself.
