In an effort to address parking problems, the city has painted lines for parking spaces on the Street of the Golden Lantern to alert students at Dana Point High School of available parking.

The city marked about 15 spaces in front of City Hall to notify motorists that parking is available in the area, said John Bahorski, city manager.

The markings are part of the city’s ongoing effort to provide students with parking nearby rather than in residential neighborhoods.
