A young man was stabbed to death in an alley shortly after midnight Wednesday, authorities said.

The victim, thought to be in his early 20s, was seen fist-fighting with two men in the 44700 block of 2nd Street East moments before the stabbing, said Sgt. Brenda Cambra, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Witnesses said the man staggered out of the alley about 12:30 a.m. and told a bystander he had been stabbed. He later died at Antelope Valley Hospital.
