* Update--The Sparks, primed with a three-game winning streak and a rousing 90-84 victory over three-time WNBA champion Houston on Tuesday at the Great Western Forum, embark on their toughest trip yet, meeting expansion Miami two days after the Sol beat the Mystics in Washington on a final-second shot by the league’s smallest player, 5-foot-3 Debbie Black. After today, the Sparks move on to back-to-back games in New York and Washington. After an afternoon NBC game Sunday at Madison Square Garden, the Sparks play at Washington 27 hours later. The trip ends Wednesday at Indianapolis against the Indiana Fever. Lisa Leslie, with a season-high 14 rebounds against Houston, moved into a second-place tie with Sacramento’s Yolanda Griffith for league rebounding leadership, with an 8.6 average. Utah’s Natalie Williams is the leader at 12.6 per game. Leslie, who scored 15 of her 21 points in the second half Tuesday, will be matched today with Miami center Marlies Askamp, acquired from Minnesota in an off-season trade. Miami’s leading scorer is veteran Sheri Sam with an 11.9 average.
