The city will begin paying all the bills it has racked up since November’s incorporation.
The City Council is expected to approve the payment of nearly half of the city’s bills at its meeting on Thursday, including one check for $26,749 to pay the county for the November election.
Interim City Manager William Talley said that the proponents of an incorporation have to pay election costs if a community votes for cityhood but the county pays if the measure is defeated.
