The City Council will meet today to consider its $8-million 2000-01 Community Development Block Grant program. The program secures federal money for nonprofit organizations that provide housing and other community support programs. The council will also consider awarding $291,000 in emergency shelter grants for 16 local agencies. The council meets at 6 p.m. at 22 Civic Center Plaza. Information: (714) 647-6520.
