* Chip Steinmetz has been named executive vice president of technology for Go.com of North Hollywood. He will manage Web operations and develop engineering and applications strategies. Steinmetz had been managing director of global technology for Barclays Capital of London.

Go.com is the result of a merger between Infoseek and Walt Disney Co.’s online unit, Buena Vista Internet Group. The company oversees a variety of Web sites including ABC.com, ESPN.com and Disney.com.

* Christine McQuown has been named senior director of content for the new Web site for Dick Clark Productions Inc. (https://www.dickclark.com), the Burbank company said. She will be responsible for developing the Web site’s e-commerce potential, utilizing the company’s library and entertainment assets.

Dick Clark Productions Inc. produces television programming and live events for corporate marketing programs.

* Peter Adee has joined New Wave Entertainment of Burbank as a partner, the company said. He will be involved in business development, particularly audiovisual entertainment advertising. Katie Locke has been named vice president of business development.

New Wave Entertainment is an entertainment industry marketing firm with in-house finishing services and post-production facilities. The company also produces commercial and music videos.
