WOMEN’S NOTES

USC (15-13, 10-8 in the Pacific 10) gets its reward tonight for finishing the Pacific 10 season with a 7-2 run when it plays Santa Clara (21-8, 10-4 in the West Coast Conference) at 7 at Tose Pavilion in Santa Clara in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament. USC beat three of the four Pacific 10 teams in the NCAA tournament in its late-season run. The winner meets Colorado State (20-9) or Arizona State (14-13) next weekend.
