SPECIAL TO THE TIMES

For one day, a battalion fire chief, an investigator from the California Environmental Protection Agency, a psychology professor and a vice president of operations at Knott’s Berry Farm will act as elementary school principals in the Centralia School District.

The Principal for a Day event is coordinated by the California Educational Partnership Consortium and sponsored locally by the Orange County Department of Education.

This is the 10th year of the school district’s involvement in the program. The guests will be visiting classrooms, meeting students and staff and learning what it takes to manage a school.
