FOUNTAIN VALLEY
The City Council voted 5 to 0 Tuesday to purchase three pickup trucks for the water, police and street departments. The trucks, which will replace two 10-year-old trucks, will cost $71,481. The money will be paid from the fleet management budget.
The city also voted to purchase an asphalt crack seal machine for the Street Department. This will be used weekly to bond street surfaces to help extend the life of the pavement. The fleet maintenance budget also will provide for the $27,168 purchase price.
