In the Century League:

No. 9 Canyon 17, Santa Ana Valley 1--Brian Batsel swept at No. 3 singles to lead the way for Century (8-2, 1-0).

El Modena 13, Orange 5--Jason Topor swept his No. 1 singles sets, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, and Lundy Chea and Chris Trinh also swept in the No. 3 doubles for the host Vanguards (8-1, 1-0).

Foothill 16, Villa Park 2--John Goss swept in singles 6-2, 6-1, 6-2 and freshmen Morgan Surfas and Drew Himber swept in doubles 7-5, 6-1, 6-2 for visiting Foothill (7-3, 1-0).

Aliso Niguel 9, Laguna Hills 9 (Aliso Niguel wins on games, 76-71)--Jason Mednick and Jeff Bui swept their singles sets to lead Aliso Niguel (6-4, 2-0).

In the Sea View League:

No. 5 Woodbridge 18, Newport Harbor 0--Both Jonathan Sheridan and Erik Oijala swept 6-0, 6-0, 6-0 for visiting Woodbridge (7-5, 2-0).

In the South Coast League:

El Toro 11, Trabuco Hills 7--Huy Nguyen lost only one game while sweeping 6-1, 6-0, 6-0 for host El Toro (5-6, 1-0).

No. 4 Capistrano Valley 13, San Clemente 5--Mike Nguyen swept in singles 6-2, 6-1, 6-2 and Chad Whittfield teamed with Derrick Kuluncho to sweep in doubles 6-0, 6-2, 6-2 for the visiting Cougars (5-1, 1-0). In the Sunset League:

Huntington Beach 11, Esperanza 7--David Murphy and Sean Kaddura’s sweep in No. 2 doubles was a key match for Huntington Beach (7-1, 1-0).
