General Automation Picks New Board Chairwoman
* Jane M. Christie has been elected chairwoman of the board of General Automation Inc. in Irvine. She is president and chief executive. Christie succeeds Robert McClure, who temporarily served as chairman after Lawrence Michels died last summer.
* John Burns has been named principal of the Meyers Group in Irvine, a provider of new home real estate information and consulting services. Before joining the company in 1997, Burns was with KPMG Peat Marwick for 10 years, where he managed the Orange County Real Estate Consulting Practice.
* Kristina R. Castro has joined Ware & Malcomb Architects Inc. in Irvine as accounting manager. She was previously controller for the Spa in Costa Mesa.
* Rick Graniere has been appointed chief financial officer of Memorial Health Services, a five-hospital health system serving Los Angeles and Orange counties. He was formerly senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer of Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and Saddleback Memorial Medical Center.
* Steven U. Parker has joined LeadersOnline in Irvine as vice president of finance. The company was started last year as the Internet-based recruiting subsidiary of Heidrick & Struggles. Parker was vice president of finance at M.D.C. Holdings Inc. for three years and spent almost 20 years at Occidental Petroleum Corp., most recently as vice president of financial services.
* Kevin Boyle has joined Entridia in Irvine as vice president of operations. He joined the company from Western Digital Corp., where he was director of supply engineering. John Hohener becomes vice president of finance and the chief financial officer at Entridia. Before joining the company, Hohener was the co-founder, chief financial officer, treasurer and vice president of finance at Smartflex Systems Inc. He also had been director of corporate accounting at Silicon Systems Inc.
* Steven M. Muldowney has joined the Irvine office of Cox, Castle & Nicholson as a senior associate. He works in the firm’s lodging and leisure practice group, specializing in the resort, land development, subdivision and time-share areas. Previously, Muldowney was an attorney with McDermott, Will & Emery in Newport Beach and Rutan & Tucker in Costa Mesa.
* Leveda Magee Woolery has been appointed senior vice president of staffing at IMRI in Irvine. She was previously branch manager for Data Processing Resources Corp./Compuware.
* James McCormick will be of counsel to the Irvine office of Allen Matkins Leck Gamble & Mallory. He has been in private practice in Newport Beach for the last 10 years. Before that, McCormick was a founding member of the Los Angeles law firm of Clark & Trevithick.
* David J. Gullen has joined the Abbey Co. in Garden Grove as general counsel. Gullen, formerly outside counsel, will head the commercial real estate company’s new in-house legal department and oversee the work of outside attorneys. He was previously a partner in the Los Angeles law firm of Nelson Gullen Bronson & Katz LLP.
* Elena Anglin has been appointed senior account executive for Mendoza, Dillon & Asociados in Newport Beach. She joined the agency in 1996.
