* Elizabeth Johnsen has been promoted to staff vice president for national accounts at Pleasant Holidays LLC in Westlake Village. The position was created to recognize her efforts in increasing the company’s business with its national travel agency accounts, including the AAA, American Express and Uniglobe.
Johnsen, who joined Pleasant Holidays in 1997, has set all-time productivity records for the company.
* Wan-Ping Wendy Yu, a senior financial advisor with American Express Financial Advisors in Oxnard, has achieved the company-sponsored designation of Business Financial Advisor. The requirements for the designation included course work and a series of examinations.
The designation is designed for individuals who have the technical expertise to analyze small-business clients and develop comprehensive financial plans for them.
* James W. Adams has joined Thomas Associates in Ventura as a broker associate. He has 25 years’ experience in land acquisition, real estate development, project management, sales and marketing.
His responsibilities at Thomas Associates will include locating suitable land for development.
* EOS Corp. in Camarillo, which sells ultra-miniature power supplies, has named Chien Nguyen director of engineering to oversee new product development, particularly for the computing, communications and medical markets. In this position, he will work closely with the EOS marketing team.
Nguyen most recently worked at International Rectifier, where he was manager of switch-mode power-supply products.
* Judy Winzer has been named vice president of commercial loans for California Oaks State Bank. She has been in the banking industry for 22 years.
The bank, which just finished its second year of operation, has 3,400 customers in the Conejo Valley and assets of $41.6 million.
* Mike West of Los Robles Bank has been elected president of the Conejo Valley Industrial Assn. for 2000. Other officers are S.K. Leong of Polyfet RF Devices, vice president; Chase Lichtenstein of Planning Masters, treasurer; and John Hood of Agoura Hills Insurance Services Inc., secretary.
The association seeks to promote the economic welfare of Conejo Valley businesses and their employees.
