LAKE FOREST
The owner of an unidentified iguana that wandered into traffic on Rockfield Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon has until Saturday to claim the pet from the Orange County Animal Care Center.
After Saturday, the 2-foot green lizard will go to anyone who wants to adopt it, center spokeswoman Kathy Francis said.
The iguana was found without a name tag about 4:30 p.m. on Rockfield Boulevard at Larkwood Lane by an Orange County sheriff’s civilian traffic officer.
To claim the animal, call the center at (714) 935-6943.
