Ben Folds, who will be seen alongside Lisa Loeb, Veruca Salt’s Louise Post and others backing William Shatner in a new series of Priceline.com TV commercials, will also show up on a couple of other outside projects. His group Ben Folds Five is contributing a version of Steely Dan’s “Barrytown” for the soundtrack of the Farrelly brothers’ “Me, Myself and Irene” starring Jim Carrey (the album’s due June 13, the movie opens June 23). And Folds is a guest on Rickie Lee Jones’ next album (due in fall), playing piano and singing backup on a version of Traffic’s “The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys” and the old “Up the Lazy River.”
