Luis Hernandez, whose Major League Soccer debut Saturday night attracted a season-high crowd of 40,303 to the Rose Bowl, suffered nothing more serious than a sprained left shoulder during the Galaxy’s 2-1 victory over Washington D.C. United and will rejoin the team Friday.

The 31-year-old striker will miss Wednesday’s game against the New England Revolution at Foxboro (Mass.) Stadium but will return in time for Saturday’s home game against San Jose.

Hernandez was injured against United when he fell awkwardly on the shoulder and was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in Pasadena after coming out of the game in the 72nd minute. A Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) test showed there was no separation on the shoulder.
