Brown Is Named to People’s Bank Post

* Louie M. Brown Jr. has been named vice president, commercial lending for People’s Bank of California. He is responsible for building and expanding the commercial loan portfolio for the bank’s 13 branches, six of which are in Orange County. Brown formerly was vice president, lending, at C.D. Mortgage Corp. in Fountain Valley and vice president/commercial lender of Marine National Bank and National Bank of Southern California in Newport Beach.

* Michael Alvarado, Kristine Floyd and Susan Graham have been elected partners in the Orange County office of Allen Matkins Leck Gamble & Mallory LLP. Alvarado’s practice involves all aspects of real estate transactions; Graham specializes in real estate transactional law with an emphasis in finance and Floyd focuses on general business litigation and environmental law.

* John Coyne has been appointed senior vice president of worldwide operations for Western Digital Corp.’s hard-drive business. Coyne had previously been responsible for Asian operations for the Irvine-based company.

* Romulo Gangcuangco has been named job captain for Ware & Malcomb Architects Inc. in Irvine. He will be working in the commercial architecture group for the firm. Gangcuangco has more than 20 years of international architectural experience.

* David Sklar has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer for Escrow.com in Santa Ana. Sklar had been executive vice president and chief financial officer of Aames Financial Corp. In addition, Mark Rosenberg was appointed executive vice president of marketing and business development. Rosenberg had been vice president of sales and marketing for an online auction start-up.

* Clive Tonks has been appointed managing director of European operations for Anaheim-based Printrak International Inc. Before joining Printrak, Tonks headed business development, major projects for a United Kingdom-based systems integrator.

* W. Randall Nelson has been named vice president and manager of Citizens Business Bank’s Fullerton office. He was formerly vice president and relationship manager for California Bank and Trust in Irvine, and general manager and treasurer for Pyro-Spectaculars in Rialto.

* John D. Gray has joined Emerge Corp. in Costa Mesa as vice president of information technologies. He had been vice president of information systems for LoansDirect.com, and before that was director of information systems at California Advantage Inc. in Oakland.
