Motorcyclist Killed in Collision With Car
MONTE NIDO —
A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday on a winding road in the Santa Monica Mountains, authorities said.
The 43-year-old Manhattan Beach man was traveling west on Piuma Road when an oncoming vehicle attempted to make a turn and hit him, California Highway Patrol Officer Rosa Ray said. The impact threw the man off the motorcycle.
The accident occurred just east of Malibu Canyon Road about 5:50 p.m.
The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to West Hills Hospital, where he died at 6:17 p.m., Ray said.
