Author to Discuss Presidents’ Families
Author Carl Sferrazza Anthony will discuss his new book “America’s First Families: An Inside View of 200 Years of Private Life in the White House” at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
The lecture and book signing will run from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 16 at the library, 40 Presidential Drive.
The lecture will include an in-depth discussion about Reagan’s time in office.
Anthony’s book discusses the challenges faced by presidents and their families while in office. A description of the White House’s private living quarters and family traditions are included, as well as 300 photos, many previously unpublished.
Anthony discusses such things as birthday parties and the White House bowling alley, and gives a glimpse into the lives of parents, grandchildren and siblings of presidents.
