Veterans Day Closures

Saturday is Veterans Day, and the following schedule will be in effect:

* Federal and state offices will be closed Friday; county offices will be open.

* City offices in La Palma will be closed today.

These cities’ offices will be closed Friday: Anaheim, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Dana Point, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, La Habra, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Placentia, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Ana, Seal Beach and Yorba Linda. Offices in Irvine, San Clemente, Tustin and Villa Park will be closed Monday.

* County libraries will be closed Saturday as will city libraries in Buena Park, Mission Viejo, Orange and Yorba Linda. City libraries in Anaheim, Fullerton and Newport Beach will be closed Friday.

* Buses: Orange County Transportation Authority buses will run on their regular schedule.

* Metrolink trains will be running.

* County, state and federal courthouses will be closed Friday.

* Public schools, including community colleges, will be closed Friday. Chapman University, Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine will be open.

* Trash will be picked up on the regular schedule.

* Post offices will be closed Saturday and there will be no delivery. Mailbox deposits will be picked up on the posted holiday schedule.

* Some banks and savings and loans will be closed Saturday and some will be open; check with your branch.
