Help Sought in Finding 3 Wanted on Warrants

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department was seeking three people for allegedly violating probation or failing to appear in court. Arrest warrants have been issued in each case.

James Gordon Cupit, 39, allegedly violated probation on a conviction for possessing drugs. He last lived in Ojai.

Cupit is white, 5 feet 11 and 140 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes.

Alissa L. Fernandez, 18, allegedly failed to appear in court on charges of possessing and being under the influence of a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia.

She last lived in the 500 block of Hillcrest Drive in Camarillo. She is Latina, 5 feet 5 and 125 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Her tattoos include “Lil Troll” on her right hand, “Fernandez” on her back and “2MAS” on the back of her neck.

James Phillip Elswick, 22, allegedly failed to appear in court on charges of trespassing and violating probation. He last lived in the 2300 block of East Ventura Boulevard.

He is white, 6 feet and 175 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 385-TALK (8255) or 494-TALK (8255). There is a cash reward for any information that leads to a conviction. The call can be anonymous.
