Northridge Keeping Several Big Sky Foes
Cal State Northridge is close to announcing its 2001 football schedule, but despite the Matadors’ move to NCAA independent status, many of their current opponents will remain, Athletic Director Dick Dull said.
Dull declined to identify opponents but said he is negotiating with several members of the Big Sky Conference, of which Northridge has been a member since 1996.
Northridge likely will continue playing nonconference games against Big Sky members Eastern Washington, Montana State, Weber State, Northern Arizona and Cal State Sacramento.
Northridge already is scheduled to play Cal Poly San Luis Obispo next season and Dull said he is seeking to extend the agreement to include an annual matchup.
